South Korea’s crypto industry could experience a significant shakeup inspired by former U.S. President Donald Trump. Presidential candidate Hong Joon-pyo has declared his intention to eliminate crypto regulations to foster blockchain and virtual assets as a recognized industry. Hong promised to introduce blockchain technology into public services, following Trump’s playbook of deregulation. This announcement comes just days after Trump repealed a controversial IRS rule related to decentralized finance.
